Olshove handles a broad range of civil litigation and insurance matters, including product liability (batteries, consumer electronics, pressure vessels, generators), slip/trip and fall incidents, machinery guarding, accident reconstruction, and electrical safety. His cases span both industrial and consumer product contexts across multiple states.

Olshove has provided expert reports, deposition testimony, trial testimony, inspection reports, and affidavits in cases from 2013 through the present. He has testified at trial in Michigan and delivered deposition testimony in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, New York, and other states.

Olshove holds a B.S.E. (Summa Cum Laude) and M.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Michigan. He has been engaged in engineering consulting since 2012.

Yes — Olshove's practice encompasses both failure analysis and accident reconstruction as well as evaluation of safety manuals, instructions, and warning labels. This dual capability allows him to address liability questions related to product design and hazard communication in the same matter.

Olshove regularly conducts on-site and product inspections and has done so in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, New York, Texas, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Ohio, Missouri, and other states. His inspection work covers everything from consumer products and machinery to walkways, vehicles, and building systems.

Olshove is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM — F15 Committee), and the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
